‘Magadheera’ release on 31st

RAMCHARAN IN MAGADHEERA

It has been quite a while since the entire film fraternity and many movie buffs have been waiting anxiously for the release of the new movie ‘Magadheera’.

While most of them thought that the release was happening on the 29th of July, the latest and reliable sources have confirmed that the release date has been postponed and now the movie would be hitting the screens on July 31st.

It is said that there were few final touch ups that had to be done for the movie along with few re-recording works so the date had to be rescheduled.

So it is now confirmed that August is going to be one really hectic month for Tollywood and the movie lovers.

‘Magadheera’ to release with record prints overseas

MAGADHEERA With each passing day, the ambitious magnum opus ‘Magadheera’ has been coming up with more interesting highlights. Now, there is news that it will be setting a record of sorts as the film is being released with a total of 25 prints overseas and that too at 40 separate locations. The man to make this happen is Supreme Raju who is making his foray into distribution as he has bought the overseas rights. This is the first movie with such an extensive release across overseas locations and the expectations are high on this one. On the other hand, many are trying to see whether this would get any effect from the other movie ‘Josh’ marking the debut of Nagachaitanya

Kajal Agarwal is eagerly awaiting the release of her epic film opposite Ram Charan Tej, in which she plays the role of a queen.

In fact, I haven’t even watched the film although I had heard a lot about Anushka’s fabulous performance.”

Coming to co-stars, what was it like romancing Ram Charan in her new film? “In the film, Charan and I didn’t even touch each other! It was a challenge to portray every emotion through facial expressions. It was a tough job, but it brought out my acting skills.”

Now, with her forthcoming releases featuring Allu Arjun, Ram and Prabhas, has she finally made it to the top league? “I know the competition is huge, but it’s also healthy as there is room for everyone. I have always believed in hard work and am making a conscientious effort to steer clear of stereotypical roles,” she says.

Anushka as a prostitute?

It is widely rumoured that buxom beauty Anushka will be playing the role of a prostitute for the first time in stylish actor Allu Arjun's much-hyped Telugu film Vedam (also speltVedham), being directed by Krish. Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are jointly making this film under the banner of Arka Media Works.

Vedam is the second film by Krish, whose debut film Gamyamwon rave reviews and accolades. M.M. Keeravani scores music for lyrics by Seetharama Shastry and E.S. Murthy. Jnanashekar, who is currently working in Housefull, is the cameraman. The film is scheduled to hit screens by the end of this year.

Prabhas' Darling from August 12

The regular shooting of rebel star Prabhas's new film Darling, directed by Karunakaran of Toli Prema and Ullasamga Uthsahamga fame, will commence from August 15. The flick was officially launched on June 12 in Hyderabad. Kajal Agarwal is the heroine.

Darling is produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad under the banner of Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra. This is the second time B.V.S.N. Prasad teams up with Prabas. Their earlier movie wasChatrapathi. G.V. Prakash scores the music. Andrews handles the camera. Peter Hynes is the stunt master.

"It is a different type of love story and several scenes will resemble real incidents in our lives. Tamil actor Prabhu is playing a key role in this film, which will be finished in a single schedule," Karunakaran said.

Komaram Puli audio to release on Pawan’s birthday

The audio of Power star Pawan Kalyan's upcoming Komaram Puli, being directed by S.J. Suryah (of Khushi fame) with Nikisha Patel as heroine, will be launched on September 2, Pawan’s birthday.

Currently, the film is progressing in Hyderabad and expected to grace screens during Deepavali (October). Komaram Puli is presented by S. Satyamurthi and produced by Singamala Ramesh under the banner of Kanakaratna Movies. A.R. Rahman is the music director.

Cinematography is by Bollywood's Vinod. London-based model Nikisha is the heroine. Nasser, Jyothikrishna, Saranya, Brahmaji, Ali, Kovisarala, V.M.C. Haneef, Girish Karnad and others are also in the cast.

Anand Ranga to direct Venkatesh

Anand Ranga, who recently made a stunning debut as director with the Siddarth-Shamili starrer Oye, is getting ready to direct his second film. It is heard that talks are on to invite Victory Venkatesh as hero in this flick produced under the banner of Suresh Productions. More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, Anand Ranga will soon produce a film in association with producer Sunita Tati (Radio Mirchi) under the banner of Guru Films. Raj Pippalla (who directed the recent Sumanth starrer Boni), is likely to be the director. The film will be started soon.

Mallanna’ is coming on 15th August

Hero Vikram’s much-awaited film ‘Mallanna’ starring Shriya Saran as the heroine is finally set to release on 15th August on the eve of Independence Day. The movie is releasing in 900 theatres in both Tamil and Telugu. The film is directed by Susi Ganeshan and produced by Kalaipuli Thanu on V Creations banner. Devisri Prasad scored music for this movie and camera is by Ekambaram. The romantic scenes between Vikram and Shriya will be an asset for this film. Superstar Krishna played a key role in this flick.

On the other hand, Vikram is working for Manirathnam’s ‘Ashokavanam’ with Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.

RAVITEJA'S NEW MOVIE

The parody film ‘Ladies Tailor’ starring Rajendra Prasad and Archana in the lead roles was a big hit in 1980’s. The film was directed by Vamsi and produced by Ravi Kishore under Sravanthi Movies banner.The film stars Rajendra Prasad, Archana, Deepa, Mallikharjuna Rao, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Viswanatham in the lead roles. The music was composed by Ilayaraja was a big hit.

Now, Vamsi is planning to do a sequel to this film and it is tentatively titled as ‘Fashion Designer s/o Ladies Tailer’. It is known that crazy star Ravi Teja is going to act in the lead role in this film. Valluripalli Ramesh is making the film under Mahaeshi Cinema banner and is being presented by Anandi Arts. The film will be started soon.

Magadheera is likely to release on 5th August instead of 29th of July. The reason for this postponement is that the Digital Intermediate(DI) and post-production work is yet to be completed.
Even Rajamouli is not in hurry to release the film in this month, on the other hand Music director MM Keeravani is in USA till this month
